They can be so animated with their moods swinging from one extreme to the next which is wonderful for capturing the true personality of any child.

Five days late, Ivy arrived early Saturday morning on February 4th. I was elated to find out she was a girl, even though I had a strong feeling throughout my pregnancy that was the case (including strong attachments to the color pink and odd purchases that could only be used for a girl). Her delivery start to finish was less than 2 hours and was a walk in the park compared to her older brother (minus the two attempts to get the epidural in correctly). Weighing in at 8lb 1oz and 19.5 inches long, she is a happy and healthy baby girl. In addition, one of the best gifts is that she is pretty much sleeping through the night already (I strongly attribute this to my use of formula from day one). However, she’s not such a great sleeper during the day…one of the reasons it has taken me so long to post these photos! My son could really care less about his little sis at this point, but every now and then I catch him watching her in wonder and it melts my heart knowing how incredibly blessed I am to have two little miracles in my life that I have the honor of raising and watching grow.

Talk about model material! Seriously little G who is 4 years old is already a natural in front of the camera and LOVES being in the spotlight. Those who know her mom, (who just so happens to be my best friend!) totally understand where she gets this from. And even though little N is at [...]

Those who know her mom, (who just so happens to be my best friend!) totally understand where she gets this from. And even though little N is at the challenging age of 18 months, she was still a beauty during our session. The older these girls get, the more gorgeous they become (if it’s even possible!). Ah, yes their daddy will have his hands full in the future for sure! ;)

Talk about Indian summer, E and N were blessed with a wedding day of perfect weather and temperatures close to 80 in mid October! The ceremony was held in Fort Allen Park on the waterfront in Portland with the reception held in Room with a View at the Portland Company. This was the second reception this past wedding season I captured here. Ah-mazing location and sooo many unique spots for photos. It has a real urban feel while at the same time offering the classic Maine waterfront. E and N are two of the sweetest people I have ever met and I truly enjoyed myself at their gorgeous wedding!

I love photographing siblings, especially ones that are as sweet and adorable as these two. Doesn’t baby sis just look like the perfect cabbage patch kid??? Those eyes…Gorgeous! And big bro is so handsome with his sly smile. We had another perfect day for a shoot at Pineland Farms and got to finish the session [...]

The last pic reminds me of a fairy tale…

I had the pleasure of photographing another first birthday celebration for a very close friend of mine and like that last one, this didn’t disappoint. Between trying to keep the cake on the stand and controlling our laughter, I’m not sure who had more fun, Miss M or the adults. It’s always priceless to get [...]

Between trying to keep the cake on the stand and controlling our laughter, I’m not sure who had more fun, Miss M or the adults. It’s always priceless to get the crying birthday shot for the scrapbooks and I can’t help but find them so adorable! Here’s wishing you many more happy birthdays Miss M. I know I’m going to have a hard time keeping my Kevin away from you! Love~

It might have been a chilly Fall day but that didn’t deter Miss C from diving into some bday cake on the beach! I love watching babies approach their first cake with such wonder and then just throughly enjoy it after their first taste. These moments of pure joy fill your heart with such love [...]

I love watching babies approach their first cake with such wonder and then just throughly enjoy it after their first taste. These moments of pure joy fill your heart with such love and appreciation of the simple things we take for granted as we get older. Kids bring the rare gift of allowing you to experience these firsts all over again.

We had a great day for an engagement session up at Pineland Farms. I am so excited to do C & S’s wedding there later this year! We finished up the session in the farm’s botanical garden which had an unbelievable array of color. If you are ever in the area, it’s worth the short drive up the street to check it out. The entire time I shot there this past summer and fall there wasn’t a time it wasn’t blooming in color. There is also a small apple orchard in there as well. Besides the gorgeous scenery, how adorable is this couple? I enjoyed getting to know them and there’s no doubt it’s going to be a fun wedding!

This was the first of many sessions I shot at Pineland Farms this past Fall. It’s such a great place for family shoots as there are so many interesting and colorful locations all within the property. It just so happened that the farmer’s market was stocked full of pumpkins and mums of every color on the day of the shoot. I always get excited when shooting at locations with lots of color. And I’m pretty sure this family couldn’t be more adorable!
