Maine Newborn Photographer, One Month Perfect!

I don’t normally photograph babies that are beyond 3 weeks old as it’s usually very tough to get them to stay asleep during the session. But since Baby W’s mom is a good friend of mine, I couldn’t say no and seriously I get so excited when I get to photograph babies with this much hair! Isn’t she a doll? She fought us in falling asleep but I managed to get some sweet pics of her…Congrats M family, she’s perfect!

These pictures pretty much speak for themselves…ok, I might have gone a little overboard in posting so many of them but I couldn’t help it! This was a dream session which is pretty surprising when you consider the littlest is almost 2 years old. Neither of them had any fear of the camera…hhmmmm…I’m thinking mama needs to get these kiddos into modeling!

Little G is at one of my favorite ages…sitting up great but not walking yet…just perfect for posing and not running away from me! And I get the chance to act super silly with the intent or getting a smile or two. More often than not, parents join in and then next thing you know we are all acting more immature than the little model. That’s just what happened here and it was so worth it. I had such a blast with this family and their absolutely adorable little munchkin!

Kevin Michael-

TODAY you turn TWO YEARS OLD! It feels like just yesterday I was taking you home from the hospital.

It’s amazing how fast time flies by and how much you have grown. You have a HUGE personality and a smile that lights up the room. Not to mention a laugh that’s infectious and melts the heart of anyone in your presence.

You are talking more and more everyday and we all know your favorite word is “Bas-kit-bal” and every dog that walks by is called Brodie after your favorite fluffy pet.

You are a great eater and will try anything put in front of you, including onions. However, we do really need to work on other dinner options besides “nuggies” each night.

You sleep like a rockstar. It doesn’t matter if it’s at daycare on mats, the pack n play at Nannies or in the car on a long drive…you love sleep! However, it’s essential you take no less than 8 blankies to bed with you and you love it when we pile them all on top of you each night.

You love little matchbox cars and already have close to 100 of them around the house. All of your jackets usually have a couple stashed in their pockets. You like looking out the front window at the house and watching cars drive by, saying “vroom vroom” each time. The site of a school bus gets you really excited and the miniature one somehow ends up in your bed every night.

You have the most gorgeous blue eyes. Ever. I was hoping when you were born they wouldn’t change and they have only gotten more beautiful. And those eyelashes! I melt every time I look at them.

You have an adventurous spirit. You love walking in the woods and especially on the little bridges of the trail. Finding sticks to give Brodie makes you happy.

You are a laid back little boy. We can go anywhere with you and you are happy. Probably the only time you are fussy is when you are tired or hungry. You have such a great nature. We are lucky.

You are silly. You’re a pro at making funny faces and making people laugh. You love to laugh uncontrollably.

Your passion for sports is already evident. You can’t have enough balls and nothing makes you happier than daddy taking you outside to play basketball.

You love your dad. Whether he’s left for work or just left the room, you always ask “where dada?”. There’s nothing a big hug from dada can’t fix. You look just like him.

You’re a great dancer. You love to be picked up and swung around the living room. We love your little moves. You’ll be a heartbreaker for sure.

The moon. You are quick to spot it every night. This was also one of your first words. It’s the first thing you look for when we go outside. Moon? Moon? Da Moon!

A lot has changed over the last year but probably the biggest change has been the arrival of your little sister. You still aren’t too sure what she’s all about but you do enjoy checking up on her. You are already trying to make her laugh. You don’t know it yet but you will share so many wonderful memories with her. Later in life you will share a special relationship with her. I look forward to watching you both grow.

I am so proud of you. I can’t wait to see you ride a bike for the first time. I can’t wait to witness the many first that lie ahead. You will always be my baby boy no matter how old you turn. I can say with a full heart that I have loved watching you grow.

Absolutely loved meeting this family and their beautiful baby girl! Baby K was a tough one to crack but we got her to sleep and into that sweet spot. How adorable is this little tutu and sign that her mom brought? And those tiny little shoes?? No doubt, this baby girl will be spoiled with all sorts of fun accessories! Great meeting you guys!!!

Every so often I get blessed with a newborn session when the baby sleeps the whole time. It doesn’t happen very often but when it does I get so giddy I can’t stand it! Baby A was a dream start to finish. She was willing to try anything with us and we even got a couple smiles out of her. She was such a good baby and I had so much fun getting to know her and her adoring parents.

I had the honor of photographing sweet baby boy M and his adoring big sister and family. M fought hard in not wanting to fall asleep but once he did he was so sweet to pose. While we soothed and waited to him to fall asleep I got to snap some shots of his sister who was more than willing to pose for the camera. Seriously is she not the most gorgeous little thing ever??? Thank you S family, it was great spending time with you and your beautiful family!

I’m not sure who had more fun in the studio, him or me. This little ham was a total blast to photograph and had me in stitches most of the time it was hard to focus. He’s so adorable! There’s no denying his good looks but with the combo of his personality he certainly will be a lady killa when he gets older. I love my job…he makes it so easy!
